I think I have a tendency to only think that things I a) do alone and b) create either an easy metric for a system or a shareable product I'm c) not embarrassed of are "productive", and that's...really not representative or a fair system. Social events take a huge portion of my energy, but they don't count as productive this way--if anything, I mentally catalog them as an "excuse" for being unproductive. So, in the interest of being more honest (with myself above all, haha) I thought it might be interesting to try to do a "five things I did today" type view...but I also know myself better than to assume I'll do anything daily, so if this is a one-off, it's a one-off. I thought my monhtly newsletter might be a one-off too, though, and that's approximately half a year strong, so let's see!

  1. Decided on my topic and outlined/did about half the reading for a paper on Belgian contributions to Translation Studies for class.
  2. Streamed Hadestown to my friends! We all had a relaly good time. I love that show so much, and analyzing how my favorite cast members performed brings me so much joy, as does spending time with them!
  3. Had dinner with my father's family (his parents, brother, sister-in-law and one of my cousins) and played Apples to Apples after.
  4. Figured out how to unlock my old/repaired PC and installed DuckDuckGo and Steam, plus queud a few games. I'm thinking I'll use that computer for games and media/archiving and keep using this one for schoolwork, translating, writing, and so on.
  5. I couldn't think of a fifth significant thing I did, so this'll be my catch all for a LOT of cat cuddling and trampoline time. I also made a to-do list for one of my cosplays and made plans with my grandfather!
